Aspect ratio and cropping notes
1920×1080 has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Most phone photos are shot at 4:3 and many cameras at 3:2, so forcing them to exactly 1920×1080 will stretch them slightly wider than they should be. If a picture matters, you have two clean options: tick Keep ratio and enter only the width (1920) so the height lands wherever the proportions dictate, or crop the image to 16:9 first and then resize. Already-widescreen images and screenshots from 1080p displays fit perfectly with no distortion. Remember too that enlarging a small image to 1920×1080 cannot add detail it never had, so start from the largest original you can.
